The spectacular Ulu Cliffhouse, nestled in Uluwatu, Bali, will have its grand opening on Saturday 2 December 2017. The 50,000ft² clifftop playground, with unparalleled oceanic views, aims to become home to Bali’s creative crowd, and ‘wanderlusters’. Designed by Shed London and Bali’s Design Assembly, the beach club ‘draws on the iconic 1950s Palm Springs aesthetic, enhancing its raw environment with modern edges, effortless chic and youthful cheek.’
There’s a 25m infinity pool, a music recording studio, an art space, a resident surfboard shaper, and an open-air restaurant to cliff side rock bar, hanging provocatively over the waves.
The restaurant is headed by renowned Peruvian Chef Diego Muñoz, who led Astrid & Gaston to #14 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants List. The culinary offering claims to go beyond the typical beach club menu by incorporating both the influence of Diego’s travels around the world, and Bali’s local environment. The menu includes a raw bar showcasing his personal take on ceviches, tiraditos, and an array of other culinary delights.
The rock bar sits half way down the cliff face and is accessible via a winding stairway. Guests can sip on tiki-style cocktails and patrons will also have access to the bar’s very own private beach cove, where turquoise seawater meets a fine, sandy shoreline.
Music plays a key role at Ulu Cliffhouse, blending Ulu Cliffhouse’s varying elements into a cohesive theme. The dynamic musical team, led by legendary music producer, mixer and composer Neil McLellan, brings together Bali’s most experienced and eclectic DJs – curating a custom soundtrack that provides daytime vibes to upbeat tunes for a spectacular sundown.
Ulu Cliffhouse is created and developed by F&B entrepreneurs – Out & Out Hospitality whose operations span Singapore (Operation Dagger, Oxwell & Co) and Bali (KILN on Petitenget and the new Mandala House).
