19 OCT: The chief executive of Air France-KLM has resigned.
Pierre-Henri Gourgeon quit Monday, with reports saying he acted under pressure from the group’s board of directors.
Reports aren’t specific about what prompted the parting, but the board says it’s determined to see an improvement in operating and financial performance during uncertain times in Europe.
It was originally intended that Mr Gourgeon hold the post till 2013.
He’s being replaced by Alexandre de Juniac, a former aide in the French Ministry of Finance.
