31 OCT: A planeload of Jetstar passengers was delayed for 15 hours in Hong Kong last week because no one was prepared to be bumped voluntarily, new website Asia One reports.
The aircraft was due to fly to take off for Singapore at 6am with 176 passengers.
But when one of four flight attendants scalded herself and had to be taken to hospital, the airline needed to cut the load by 26 passengers to meet aviation safety requirements.
The carrier said it would place 26 volunteers on a flight leaving five hours later, at 11am.
But no one volunteered and eventually all 176 took off on a flight at 9pm.
The report carries no comment from Jetstar.
