28 SEP: Planemaker Airbus is looking at churning out its popular A320 planes at a faster rate.
Citing discussions with management, a labour union official said the likely plan is to lift production from 38 planes a month to 44 within two years, news agency AFP reports.
An Airbus plant in Hamburg will produce 26 of the planes each month, 14 will be made in Toulouse, France and four will be assembled in the Chinese city of Tianjin, which has the only Airbus plant outside Europe.
