7 OCT: Are Britain’s economic woes starting to hit airline bookings?
Shares in Flybe, described as Europe’s biggest regional carrier, slumped 36% on Wednesday after the airline revealed a "significant slowdown" in sales during September - particularly on UK domestic routes.
The company said it’s too early to tell whether the slump is a reaction to current economic turbulence, or whether it’s part of a longer-term market adjustment, but it’s closely monitoring the situation.
