6 OCT: A charity auction centred on the first commercial flight of Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner has seen a person pay $32,000 for two business class seats.
The auction, organised by Dreamliner launch customer All Nippon Airways, began a week ago at $1836, but quickly escalated into an eBay bidding war between four people.
The inaugural flight will take off on 26 October on a three and a half hour journey from Tokyo’s Narita airport to Hong Kong.
