French actor accused of urinating in aircraft aisle

18 AUG: French actor Gerard Depardieu is being accused of urinating in the aisle of a plane.

Reports today say the incident is alleged to have taken place as he flew from Paris to Dublin on Tuesday aboard a plane operated by CityJet, a subsidiary of Air France-KLM.

The Associated Press quotes a passenger as saying that Mr Depardieu rose from his seat as the flight was about to take off - presumably to go to the toilet - but was told that he would have to wait until the plane gained altitude and the seatbelt sign was turned off.

At that point he’s alleged to have urinated where he stood.

A CityJet spokeswoman confirmed that there was an incident, which delayed departure of the flight by about two hours.

There’s no mention of any other action being taken.
