29 NOV: An American university professor has been arrested after allegedly viewing child pornography on a laptop during a flight from Salt Lake City to Boston at the weekend.
A man seated nearby saw what was he was viewing and phoned his son, who contacted Boston police.
They detained the professor on arrival and subsequently found "disturbing images of child pornography" on the computer, the Boston Globe newspaper reports.
He was to appear in court yesterday.
The university has placed him on administrative leave and says it will seek to have him fired if the allegations prove to be true.
