21 DEC: Two Muslim men removed from a US domestic flight in May after the pilot objected to their presence are suing Delta Air Lines and affiliate carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines, which operated the flight from Memphis to Charlotte.
It claims the pilot’s stated reason for removing the men, who’d been through several security checks, was that their presence would make other passengers uncomfortable.
The men are described as having beards and "traditional Arabic clothing."
They were traveling to attend a conference on how to deal with discrimination against Muslims.
