Offbeat charter offer from Virgin America

29 NOV: US airline Virgin America is putting an entire aircraft up for charter as part of today’s (US time) national Cyber Monday promotion.

It’s a day when US retailers of all kinds offer special Internet deals in a bid to snare a bigger portion of pre-Christmas shopping.

Virgin America has topped the airline deals with its offer to provide an Airbus A320 on a sole use basis to anyone prepared to pay $60,000.

It will get the customer and up to 145 companions a return flight between any two domestic points on the Virgin America network.

The deals also allows the charterer to have his/her name emblazoned on the plane.
