28 SEP: The pilot of a sightseeing plane which crashed during a trip to Peru’s famous Nazca Lines last year had been drinking before take-off, an inquest has been told.
Four British tourists and the plane’s two pilots died in the 2 October crash.
The inquest was also told that investigators found the crew had rushed pre-flight checks after getting a booking just 20 minutes before a curfew took effect.
The curfew was introduced following a previous crash in the area, and the inquest was told how witnesses had seen the pilots arguing before take-off.
