9 NOV: A Qantas Boeing 737 is sporting a moustache after the airline yesterday announced its support for this month’s Movember campaign.
Another moustache appears on the outside of the airline’s Sydney domestic terminal (Terminal 3).
The action is an extension of a Qantas partnership with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
Qantas ceo Alan Joyce said yesterday: "As a survivor of prostate cancer, I am passionate about bringing greater awareness to men who are most at risk".
Mr Joyce discovered earlier this year that he had an aggressive form of prostate cancer, but was able to have an operation quickly and was back at work within weeks.
"If it wasn’t for early detection there was every chance I would have been dead within 10 years", he said.
