7 OCT: Qantas has finally come up with some good news on the union front, announcing late yesterday that it has struck an "in-principle" deal with short-haul cabin crew over a new enterprise bargaining agreement.
It says the deal, which will be put to a vote by about 2150 crew three weeks from now, reflects the best pay and employment conditions in Australia for flight attendants.
It includes a 3% annual pay rise for three years and a $500 lump sum payment each year for three years.
