17 OCT: Melbourne has formally recognised China Southern Airlines for its "inspiring" contribution to the city’s well-being.
The carrier was last week presented with a Melbourne Award for what authorities say is its growing role in connecting the Victorian capital with Asia and the rest of the world.
China Southern operates daily service out of Tullamarine and will double this frequency during the 31 October to 15 February summer peak.
The Melbourne Award was set up in 2003 to recognise "people and organisations who inspire and challenge others to help create a better Melbourne".
