10 passengers kicked off liner for brawling

19 AUG: Ten passengers have been kicked off a Carnival Cruise Lines vessel in the Caribbean after brawling in one of the liner’s dance clubs.

The 3646-passenger Carnival Dream was near the Mexican port of Costa Maya when the incident occurred.

There were no serious injuries, but other passengers reported seeing blood spatters on artwork and several people wearing bandages.

Ten passengers were escorted off the ship when it reached port and an 11th person decided to disembark with them.

Carnival said in a statement that it doesn’t tolerate behaviour which can put passengers at risk.

It says it made arrangements for the group to get back to the US.
