What's Selling

Last cabins are selling on two Dalmatian coast cruises this month and in October aboard the CroisiEurope vessel La Belle De L’Adriatique.

Accommodating only 200 passengers, the vessel is small enough to cruise close to coastlines and moor in small harbours inaccessible to larger ships.

The sailings are selling from $1935 a person twin share, $3003 single, including all meals and French wine and beer with lunch and dinner.

Amazon River cruise line produces a cookbook

21 SEP: Amazon River cruise company Aqua Expeditions has produced its own cookbook.

It’s the work of executive chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, who uses local ingredients for most of his dishes.

Aqua says his cuisine has been acclaimed by restaurateurs and chefs who’ve sailed with Aqua, including famous Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa.

Mr Matsuhisa has been quoted as predicting that chef Schiaffino’s approach to cooking "will change how Peruvian cuisine is perceived throughout the world".

The new cookbook features Amazonian and Peruvian recipes, from cocktails and starters to mains and desserts.
