15 DEC: Former Cunard liner QE2 is going to host a big New Year’s Eve party.
It’s the first action in three years on the ship, now permanently moored in Dubai and facing an uncertain future.
Global Event Management, an Emirati company organising the bash, says it will be a black-tie affair and "one of the most exclusive New Year celebrations in the world".
Among those stepping aboard will be "royals, dignitaries, celebrities and VIPs", it says.
A limited number of tickets may also go on sale publicly.
