Hurricane stalks Caribbean cruise lines

30 AUG: Major cruise lines were varying itineraries at the weekend as Hurricane Earl surged towards areas of the eastern and southern Caribbean.

Carnival, Royal Carribean and NCL were among companies announcing changes.

Earl is the fifth named hurricane of the 2010 season, which runs officially from June to November.

SCUBA DEATH A US tourist has died while scuba diving in Grand Cayman in the Caribbean.The 47-year-old woman lost consciousness while ascending from a dive on Saturday. Efforts were made to revive her, but she was declared dead soon after being taken to a hospital.
