28 NOV: Orion Expedition Cruises has outlined a new ‘yield management system’, saying that the ‘Guaranteed Savings’ campaign which ends Wednesday has produced record bookings over the past month.
From Thursday, savings and cabin availability will change by destination and departure dates, ceo Sarina Bratton says in a note to the trade.
Both will be reviewed weekly and details can be obtained from the line’s website, or from reservations staff.
"As with the airline yield systems, some grades of accommodation will be closed, some will have reduced savings and some may remain at the same level", Ms Bratton says.
