25 AUG: Six Australian families with a stated aversion to cruising will head to sea next month at P&O’s expense.
They’re the winners in a promotion by the cruise line designed to dispel common myths about cruise holidays.
The ‘Landlubbers’ campaign invited people to say why they avoid taking a cruise.
Most common reasons were a fear of seasickness and a belief that ships offered limited entertainment and activities.
P&O says it expected about 500 entries in the promotion, but received nearly 3000.
The winners are from NSW, Queensland and South Australia.
