9 AUG: Norwegian Cruise Line is going to operate a sailing for Twitter followers.
The so-called Tweetup cruise (@SeaTweetup) will be a three-day jaunt from Miami in November aboard the 2000-passenger Norwegian Sky.
NCL says the idea is to have Twitter users sharing their cruise experience with followers and so build business for the line.
The cruise, which is being promoted via a South Florida social media community, will involve shipboard networking events and social media marketing panels and discussions.
It departs on 18 November and fares start at $US271.
