6 SEP: Michael O’Leary is at it again. The controversial boss of Irish budget airline Ryanair is reported as saying that the airline could save money by having only one pilot per aircraft, instead of two.

He says flight attendants can be trained to take over and land planes in the event of an emergency.

Mr O’Leary told Bloomberg Business Week magazine: "Why does every plane have two pilots?

When John Myers of New Jersey realised what had happened, he quickly checked the last photo he’d taken and found it showed the thief bending to pick up the bag from where Mr Myers had left it in the Wisconsin town of Madison.

13 AUG: A woman is suing Disney for $US30,000 claiming she suffered post-traumatic stress disorder after being groped by Donald Duck at the EPCOT Centre at Walt Disney World in Florida.

 

The 27-year-old says in court documents that the worker groped her breast when she sought to have a photograph taken with her children during a visit to the park in May 2008.
