Bomb hoax delays China Air flight to Sydney

6 SEP: A bomb hoax delayed departure from Taipei of a China Airlines flight to Sydney on Friday night.

A phone caller claimed there were explosives on the Airbus A330 jet, which was carrying 287 passengers and 16 crew.

A search took place, but nothing was found.

Taipei police are combing telephone records in a bid to traced the caller.
