Australian Foreign Affairs issued a special travel advisory yesterday for the 2010 Commonwealth Games, which take place in Delhi 3-14 October.
Much of the advisory deals with basic travel procedures, including health requirements, insurance and the need to arrange accommodation "as early as possible".
But there’s also a reminder about the "high risk of terrorist activity".
The advisory says terrorist attacks can occur at any time, anywhere in India "with little or no warning" and the attention of intending travellers is drawn to the main DFAT travel advice on India.
