20 MAY: Channel 9 appears to be preparing a change of timeslot for its ‘Getaway’ travel program, according to a posting yesterday on a website called The Spy Report.
The site said a decision to air the program on digital multi-channel GEM tonight, instead of on Nine at 7.30 last night, appears to indicate that the channel is trialling timeslots for "something potentially more permanent".
Tonight’s program will appear on Nine at 7.30pm tomorrow.
The Spy Report says ‘Getaway’ was averaging about 800,000 viewers in the last weeks of the 2010 ratings season, but has struggled to draw 700,000 during its current run.
Last week it pulled only 651,000 - well below audiences of 1.2 million a few years ago.
It has been running for 19 years.
