24 MAY: Tourists in Las Vegas may soon be able to gamble in bed.
Lawmakers in the state of Nevada have given partial approval to a bill legalising the use of mobile gaming devices in hotel rooms.
Such devices already exist, but their range is restricted to areas near casino floors.
Moves to extend their use to hotel rooms has raised concerns about under-age gambling.
But lawmakers have been told the devices have security systems able to prevent misuse.
The bill now goes to the state Senate for final approval.
