9 SEP: Prince Charles has embarked on a four-day tour of Britain in a royal train fueled by cooking fat to promote a sustainable living initiative he launched earlier this year.
But the journey is attracting criticism because the opulent train has eight carriages for a party of 14 and the trip is expected to cost taxpayers more than $80,000

"I’m not sure he’ll get that many people jumping on his bandwagon," Nicky Coles, 38, told the Guardian newspaper after watching the prince arrive at a Glasgow train station in a gas-guzzling convoy.
"He’s a royal. He has the money to go green while Joe Bloggs hasn’t.
"He can get his gardener to grow organic vegetables while the rest of us go to the supermarket and pay more."
The prince’s initiative encourages people to consider a more energy-efficient, less wasteful way of life.
His journey, which began in Glasgow, ends tomorrow in London.
