Guesthouse owner displayed Hitler portrait

19 JULY: A guesthouse owner in Germany was taken to court after a guest noticed a portrait of Hitler hanging on a wall.

It’s a crime in Germany to display images of Hitler or other Nazi symbols in public.

But the owner of the property, near Frankfurt, escaped prosecution because the portrait was in a private area of the apartment.

Police have now confiscated it.
