Hotel guests find a goat in their room

4 AUG: Two tourists walked into a hotel in the US state of Washington on Monday to find a goat in their room.

Pranksters had apparently dragged the animal into the Fairbridge Inn & Suites in the town of Wenatchee during the night.

A local newspaper said it received calls from people saying they’d seen two men carrying a goat down the street earlier in the evening.

They apparently obtained access to the room by saying they’d lost their room key, though they weren’t guests at the hotel.

Police later detained a 26-year-old and booked him on suspicion of theft of livestock and second-degree burglary.

Interestingly, Wenatchee is home to a nutcracker museum.
