Abc.net.au has focused on the plight of travel agents in the past 24 hours, highlighting the very difficult and desperate situation agents have found themselves in since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in March 2020.

AFTA Chair, Tom Manwaring, says the organisation continues to lobby the Federal Government to provide the sector with a $250 million support package for 4000 travel agencies and the 40,000 Australians they employ.
