The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) has confirmed that the sunset date for the AFTA Chargeback Scheme (ACS) has been extended to October 2021.
If you are an ACS member and have an eligible claim for a chargeback due to end supplier insolvency that has occurred after the 31 December 2020 sunset date, claims will be accepted by the Mutual Manager Gow-Gates up until October 2021.
Claims are subject to the criteria outlined in the PDS and FSG and apply only to eligible transactions under the scheme.
AFTA agreed to meet all of ACS costs and expenses falling due past the original winding up day of 30 June to facilitate this extended cover for members.
