Visit Qatar, Qatar Airways, and Discover Qatar recently hosted an exclusive famil for 10 travel agents from the Helloworld Travel network, showcasing the exceptional experiences Australian travellers can enjoy on a Doha stopover.
The week-long itinerary was packed with cultural highlights, thrilling activities, and visits to luxury accommodations, designed to inspire agents and their clients.
The famil featured a visit to the National Museum of Qatar, including a 13-course degustation lunch at Jiwan Restaurant, located within the museum and renowned for its stunning views and exceptional cuisine. A guided tour of Souq Waqif offered an insight into Doha’s bustling marketplace, followed by a dinner at Parisa, a restaurant specialising in Persian cuisine.





Adventure was a key part of the experience, with a visit to Meryal Waterpark, the largest in Qatar, blending exhilarating rides with a touch of local culture. The group also explored the dramatic desert landscape with a 4WD safari to the Inland Sea, where the dunes meet the water. The adventure concluded with a private dinner under the stars.
Site inspections of luxury hotels included Rixos Gulf Hotel, Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island, Park Hyatt, Waldorf Astoria, and The Ned, showcasing properties popular with Australian travellers.
The famil provided agents with first-hand knowledge of Qatar Stopovers, equipping them to better inform their clients about the diverse offerings in Doha.
