A select group of Australian travel professionals has returned from an exclusive six-day famil in Taiwan, experiencing the country’s unique blend of tradition and modernity firsthand.
Hosted by Taiwan Tourism Administration and China Airlines, the trip highlighted Taiwan’s diverse appeal and seamless connectivity for Australian travellers.
A journey through Taiwan’s cultural and modern wonders

Representatives from ten leading Australian travel organisations, including Travel Managers, MTA, Wendy Wu, Railway Adventures, Renaissance Tours, Crooked Compass, Flight Centre Groups, American Express, MW Tours, and Planetdwellers Travel and Tours, participated in the famil.
Ganessan Suppiah, representative from Taiwan Tourism Administration, said the famil was designed to deepen industry knowledge of Taiwan’s attractions.
“Taiwan offers Australian travellers an incredible mix of experiences that many haven’t yet discovered,” Suppiah said.
The itinerary featured a balance of historic and contemporary highlights, including Lungshan Temple, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Taipei 101 Observatory, and the Taoyuan Lantern Festival. Participants also experienced the efficiency of Taiwan’s high-speed rail system while travelling between destinations.
