All stars crowned in epic GFOB Survivor showdown

Three finalists, one unforgettable twist, and three cruises won in a night of outwitting, outplaying, and outlasting.

The stage was set at Sydney’s Verandah Bar as 12 of the top travel advisors from Australia and New Zealand gathered for the thrilling finale of the Globus family of brands (GFOB) All Stars Survivor incentive. In an electrifying night of challenges, cheers, and strategy, Rachael Howard, Thomas McDonald, and Jay Irvine emerged victorious – each winning a spectacular Avalon Waterways cruise for two.

The ultimate survivor showdown

In true Survivor style, the live finale saw travel advisors go head-to-head across four themed challenges inspired by GFOB’s signature brands: Avalon Waterways, Globus, and Cosmos. With industry guests cheering from the sidelines and none other than King George from Survivor Australia providing commentary and strategy insights, the stakes were high.

After 12 competitive rounds leading up to the finale, the energy on the night was electric as finalists put their product knowledge, creativity, and quick thinking to the test. Following a series of tense challenges, the top three advanced to a final pitch – delivering their best case to be named the ultimate GFOB All Star.

A twist no one saw coming

In a nod to the show’s high-stakes drama, the final vote came down to the classic Survivor method of “going to rocks”. But in a surprise twist, all three finalists drew gold – making them each winners on the night.

Chris Hall, managing director Asia Pacific of Globus family of brands, praised the effort and spirit of the advisors, saying,
“You brought your all to outwit, outplay and outlast your competitors, in true GFOB fashion. We couldn’t do what we do without your support.”

Celebrating teamwork and tenacity

Alongside the competitive fun, the night was also an opportunity for the GFOB team to share exciting updates, including a renewed focus on just three touring styles – Classic, Small Groups, and Independent – as the brand evolves toward a streamlined future.

With surprise giveaways, plenty of networking, and lessons from King George on how to survive (both on the island and in business), the event highlighted the strength of the travel trade and the power of community.
