APT partners with Ponant for 2028 Kimberley program

APT Luxury Travel has released an early booking window for its 2028 Australia collection, with the 11-day Kimberley Coastal Expedition now operating aboard Ponant’s Le Jacques Cartier, marking a new chapter for APT’s Kimberley cruising program.

Le Jacques Cartier accommodates a maximum of 184 guests, with every stateroom and suite featuring a private balcony. The purpose-built expedition vessel includes multiple dining options, a theatre, a wellness area and a swimming pool, alongside its expedition capabilities.

APT general manager of product and operations AU/NZ Cher Lontok said the vessel suited the destination’s remote coastline.

“The vessel’s expedition capabilities, elegant design and all-balcony accommodation make it an ideal fit for the destination, enabling guests to experience the Kimberley’s rugged beauty in exceptional comfort while enjoying the immersive exploration for which APT’s itineraries are renowned,” Lontok said.

Itinerary includes Horizontal Falls and cultural ceremony

The 11-day Kimberley Coastal Expedition is available in both directions between Broome and Darwin, covering the region’s coastlines, gorges and waterfalls, alongside significant Indigenous cultural sites. Highlights include Zodiac explorations to Horizontal Falls, cruising through King George River, and a Welcome to Country with a smoking ceremony.

Prices for the 2028 season start from $16,495 per person, with savings of up to $2,600 per couple available during the early release period.
