ATIA report to support smarter business planning

The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has released its 2025 Personalised Enterprise Financial Benchmarking Reports, providing members with powerful, easy-to-understand data on how their businesses performed in the 2024 financial year.

Designed to support confident planning and informed strategy for the year ahead, the reports are now available through the ATIA Membership Portal.

Each report is tailored to the individual business, drawing directly from members’ FY24 financial statements. For the first time, members can clearly see how their results compare against similar businesses in their size bracket and industry segment — identifying strengths, weaknesses and performance trends with just a few clicks.

Building on success with member-driven improvements

Now in its second year, the benchmarking initiative has been enhanced with member feedback to deliver even clearer comparisons and deeper analysis. From small independent agencies to large corporate operators, the updated reports offer value to every ATIA-accredited business, helping them navigate an evolving travel landscape.

ATIA CEO Dean Long says the reports are part of the association’s broader commitment to delivering tangible benefits to its members. “Our 2025 personalised benchmarking reports give members powerful yet simple insights into how their business is performing, helping them plan confidently for the year ahead,” he said. “These new reports build on last year’s thanks to member feedback and contain clearer comparisons and even deeper insights.”

Data-led tools for long-term growth

The reports are designed to be practical and accessible, helping members make informed decisions about staffing, pricing, investment and strategy.

Michelle Massey of Amplify – Accessible Travel Specialists and NTIA 2025 Most Outstanding Independent Leisure Travel Agency winner, praised the program’s value.

“I genuinely love data and analysis — they’re powerful indicators that we’re heading in the right direction. Your team has done an exceptional job, and we truly appreciate the insight and work that goes into producing this report.”

A step forward for industry accountability and performance

This initiative also highlights ATIA’s commitment to industry-wide growth, transparency, and continued professionalisation of the travel sector. As Long explained, “We remain committed to giving every ATIA-accredited business access to meaningful tools that support growth, strategy and long-term success. These reports are another way of ATIA delivering real value for our members.”
