ATIA Wellness 5k returns ahead of NTIA gala

The ATIA Wellness 5k, powered by Albatross Tours, returns for its second year on NTIA weekend, giving travel industry attendees a morning run or walk ahead of the gala’s evening events.

Event runs alongside Albert Park parkrun

The morning begins at 7:30am with warm-up stretches led by Flight Centre’s Healthwise Global, before attendees join the Albert Park parkrun at 8am, later than last year’s start time. Participants can run, jog, walk or stroll the 5km course, followed by breakfast supported by Flight Centre Travel Group.

ATIA chief executive Dean Long said the event was designed to build camaraderie ahead of the formal NTIA proceedings. “It’s about so much more than fitness – it’s about celebrating health, wellbeing and camaraderie in our industry, and giving people an opportunity to connect before the formalities of NTIA weekend begin,” Long said.

Albatross Tours director of marketing James Hewlett said the later start time was intended to make the event more accessible. “Albatross Tours is thrilled to return and power the Wellness 5K, providing a choice to start the day with a fun social morning of light exercise and fresh air ahead of the NTIAs,” Hewlett said.

Tickets to join the ATIA Wellness 5k team cost $55, including the 2026 event shirt and breakfast, and are available online.
