Bhaya Cruises’ wellness cruise Bhaya Soul has joined Small Luxury Hotels of the World, marking the organisation’s first luxury boat offering in Asia Pacific.
20-suite cruise positions as first wellness-focused Ha Long Bay vessel
Bhaya Soul features 20 suites, each with a private balcony and sun loungers, sailing quieter routes through Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay in northern Vietnam. The vessel is designed as the first wellness-inclusive cruise in the destination, integrating wellness programming throughout the journey rather than as a standalone spa offering, alongside fine dining built around fresh, local ingredients.
Bhaya Cruises chief executive and founder Nam Tran said the SLH recognition validated the vessel’s positioning.
“We wanted to create something different on Ha Long Bay – a place where guests can experience the beauty of the bay while also having the space to slow down, reconnect and restore,” Tran said.
SLH senior vice president Asia Pacific Mark Wong said Bhaya Soul joined a select group of just five immersive water experiences within SLH’s global portfolio.
“We’re always looking to enrich the SLH portfolio with soulful, characterful stays and Bhaya Soul is in a class of its own,” Wong said.
Connection with Hoi An property enables multi-destination itineraries
Bhaya Soul’s SLH membership creates a link with Namia River Retreat in Hoi An, an existing SLH member, giving travellers the option to combine two distinct Vietnamese wellness experiences across Ha Long Bay and the Thu Bon River. Bhaya Cruises has introduced multi-destination wellness journeys connecting the two properties as part of its broader restorative travel offering in Vietnam.
