Bloody Mary’s Bora Bora to reopen as hotel

Bloody Mary’s, the Bora Bora restaurant and bar operating since 1979, will open as a hotel in 2027, according to Tahiti-based wholesaler Tahiti Travel Services, with contracts for the new property expected shortly.

New openings lead 2027 French Polynesia product

The Bloody Mary’s hotel will offer shared boat transfers to Vaitape followed by a private transfer to the property, with breakfast for two, minibar and shuttle services to Matira included in rates. Dining at opening will include Povai Bay, Bloody Mary’s Restaurant and Tiki Tide Bar, with a fourth venue, La Bella Matira, to open under the 2027 contract season.

Te Moana Tahiti Resort is also relaunching for 2027, with bookings open from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2028. The 120-room, studio and suite property will retain its room count but undergo a full redesign, adding new dining venues including a waterfront American breakfast buffet. The resort will offer a low-season rate and an early-bird combo package with Cook’s Bay Hotel and Suites in Moorea and Bloody Mary’s in Bora Bora.

On Taha’a, a new operator, To’oera Experience, has launched fully private lagoon tours covering snorkelling, island tours and cultural sites, for between one and six guests, with a surcharge applying from the third passenger.

Opoa Beach adds multi-destination packages

Raiatea property Opoa Beach has introduced two new packages for 2027 to strengthen its value proposition following bungalow renovations completed in 2024 and a pool upgrade in 2025. The SPM Combo offers up to 15 per cent off when combined with Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon hotels Reva Tahiti and Niu Beach, for stays of two nights or more between 15 March and 30 April 2027, and 15 November to 21 December 2027. A Stay 3, Pay 2 offer applies to three-consecutive-night, half-board stays during the November-December low season. The property will close annually from 28 February to 13 March 2027.

Tahiti Travel Services representatives will be in Europe and the United States this month, including at IFTM in Paris from 15 to 17 September, and across five US cities between 16 and 24 September, to discuss 2027 contracting with trade partners.
