Bunnik launches South America trade incentive

Bunnik Tours, LATAM Airlines and Sydney Airport have teamed up to launch a new trade incentive designed to boost South America bookings, with one Australian travel advisor set to win a 20-day Peru touring holiday valued at more than $16,000.

The campaign aims to strengthen awareness of South America among Australian travellers while highlighting the growing connectivity between Australia and the continent through LATAM Airlines’ daily non-stop Sydney–Santiago service.

Peru prize up for grabs

Travel advisors can enter the incentive by booking clients on any Bunnik Tours South America small group tour that includes a LATAM Airlines flight between Sydney and Santiago between 11 June and 30 September 2026. Each eligible booking earns one entry into the draw.

The prize includes return LATAM Airlines flights and a place on Bunnik Tours’ 20-day Peru Explorer small group tour, with experiences ranging from Machu Picchu and Colca Canyon to local culinary and cultural encounters. The prize is valued at $16,370.

Strengthening South America’s appeal

LATAM Airlines Country Manager Oceania Alberto Chico Garcia said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening travel links between Australia and South America.

“LATAM Airlines Group continues to strengthen its commitment to the Australian market, offering daily non-stop services from Sydney to Santiago reinforcing its position as a leading gateway for Australian travellers heading to South America,” Garcia said.

Bunnik Tours Joint CEO Dennis Bunnik said the initiative highlights the diversity and accessibility of the region for Australian travellers.

“We’re proud to partner with LATAM Airlines and Sydney Airport to showcase the incredible diversity, accessibility and appeal of South America,” Bunnik said.

“From the ancient history of Peru to the vibrant cities, landscapes and culinary experiences found across the continent, there’s so much for Australians to discover.”

Trade engagement planned

The partnership will also be supported by a series of trade initiatives, including an event in Adelaide showcasing South American food, culture and travel experiences, with additional prizes available for attendees.

The campaign forms part of a broader effort by the three partners to increase awareness of South America as a destination and make it easier for Australians to access the region through direct air links and escorted touring options.
