Bunnik Tours hosts Helloworld agents for Sri Lanka famil

Small group touring specialists, Bunnik Tours, recently hosted 10 Helloworld agents on a six-day famil to Sri Lanka, marking the company’s first trade famil since the pandemic. The trip offered a unique opportunity to experience Sri Lanka’s vibrant culture, rich history, and stunning landscapes, showcasing the highlights of Bunnik’s signature small group tours.

Immersive experiences with a personal touch

Led by Bunnik Tours’ National Sales Manager, Zoe Francis, the famil blended experiences from the classic Sri Lankan Discovery and deluxe Sri Lanka InStyle tours. It began with a cocktail reception at the tranquil, jungle-fringed Negombo Lagoon, setting the tone for an adventure-packed itinerary.

Key highlights included an elephant safari at Minneriya National Park and a climb up Sigiriya’s Lion Rock, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its dramatic views and historical significance. Agents were treated to a luxurious stay at Water Garden Sigiriya, a five-star retreat nestled in Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle, offering a glimpse of the high-end experiences available on Bunnik’s deluxe tours.

Connecting with local culture

Agents had the chance to delve deeper into Sri Lanka’s cultural tapestry with a traditional cooking demonstration in a remote village. They then shared a meal with a local family, an intimate experience that aligns with Bunnik’s philosophy of fostering authentic connections through travel.

The famil also included a visit to a local school where agents donated essential supplies, demonstrating Bunnik’s commitment to sustainable and socially responsible tourism.

Strengthening trade partnerships

Concluding the trip, agents visited Bunnik Tours’ Sri Lanka office for in-depth training on the company’s global destinations and small group touring benefits. Zoe Francis highlighted the importance of the famil in reinforcing Bunnik’s immersive travel approach and nurturing relationships with trade partners.

“This famil was an incredible opportunity for Helloworld agents to experience the difference our small group tours make,” Ms. Francis said. “We’re thrilled to see how these experiences will inspire their clients to explore Sri Lanka with us.”
