Canada’s tourism on show as Rendez-vous Canada wraps up in Winnipeg

Winnipeg played host to over 1,200 tourism professionals last week as Rendez-vous Canada (RVC) 2025 wrapped up with a spectacular closing celebration, showcasing the power of connection, innovation and Canadian culture.

As Destination Canada’s premier international tourism marketplace, RVC brought together 405 qualified buyers, 23 international media, and representatives from more than 497 Canadian tourism organisations. Attendees from key global markets including Australia, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States gathered in Manitoba’s capital to forge partnerships, discover new travel experiences and align on the future of tourism.

Fifteen Australian buyers attended this year’s event, exploring new travel products and trends to strengthen and diversify Canadian itineraries for Australian travellers.

Throughout the event, delegates were immersed in Winnipeg’s diverse offerings, from the historic Forks and Inuit art at Qaumajuq, to the innovative Assiniboine Park and the cultural vibrancy of the Exchange District and Chinatown. The opening reception treated guests to a northern lights spectacle, up-close views of polar bears, and an exclusive evening at The Leaf’s immersive garden biomes.

Inside the conference, Destination Canada introduced its new global brand platform, “Canada, naturally.”, aimed at connecting travellers to authentic and meaningful experiences. The brand reflects a desire for deeper, more personal travel connections in an age dominated by digital filters and global change.

The closing celebration at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights blended cultural heritage with cutting-edge activations, including performances from local artists and AI-driven exhibits. Guests enjoyed regional food, storytelling and a final opportunity to celebrate the spirit of Canadian hospitality.

As RVC looks ahead, the event continues to be a vital platform for showcasing Canada’s tourism potential, connecting international buyers with unique Canadian experiences, and reinforcing the country’s position as a world-class travel destination.
