Victorian cruise lovers will soon have more opportunities to set sail from their home state, with Carnival Cruise Line announcing it will homeport one of its newest ships, Carnival Adventure, in Melbourne for a month in 2027.
The deployment marks an exciting expansion for the cruise line, giving Victorians the chance to embark on unforgettable holidays at sea without the need for interstate travel.
Exciting itineraries from Melbourne
Carnival Adventure will arrive in Melbourne in March 2027 after a spectacular 16-day voyage from Singapore. This sailing will take guests through culturally rich destinations, including Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, and Bali, before heading to Western Australia, with stops in Fremantle and Albany, and finally arriving in Victoria.
Once in Melbourne, the ship will offer four round-trip voyages, catering to a variety of travellers:
- Three cruises to Kangaroo Island, one of Australia’s most stunning natural destinations
- A two-day getaway to Sydney, perfect for first-time cruisers or those looking for a short escape
“We know Victorians are passionate about cruising and have been calling for more options to sail from their home state,” said Kara Glamore, vice president of sales and marketing for Carnival Cruise Line Australia. “This is about offering Victorians the chance to enjoy a fun and affordable holiday without the hassle or cost of flying.”
Carnival expands fleet in Australia
The Melbourne sailings come as part of Carnival’s broader expansion in Australia, with the cruise line preparing to grow to four ships. P&O Cruises’ Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter will officially join the Carnival fleet in March 2025, rebranded as Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter.
Guests can secure their spot on these exciting Melbourne sailings via the P&O Cruises website until March 2025, after which bookings will be available through Carnival’s website.
