Brisbane’s dining scene is set to turn citrusy this February as Poca Madre celebrates Margarita Month with a series of Cointreau masterclasses.
Held every Thursday throughout the month, these interactive sessions will teach guests the art of crafting the perfect Margarita under the guidance of tequila expert Carlos Hurworth from the Church of Agave.
A hands-on Margarita experience

Taking place in La Vista at Poca Madre, each masterclass blends education with entertainment. Guests will be welcomed with a Cointreau Margarita on arrival before diving into a hands-on “Make Your Own Guacamole” session, adding a creative twist to the evening.
The experience continues with a guided tasting of Teremana tequila, the small-batch tequila range from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Guests will sample the Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo varieties, learning about their unique flavours and ideal pairings. Participants will then put their knowledge to the test by creating their own signature Margaritas using premium ingredients and expert techniques.
Throughout February, visitors who order a Cointreau Margarita at Poca Madre will also have the chance to win prizes, including tote bags, Cointreau-branded fans, and mini 50ml bottles of the iconic orange liqueur.
