Destination DC has announced an exciting new incentive for travel professionals in Australia and New Zealand through the Washington, DC Special Agent Academy.
The interactive training program is designed to equip agents with expert knowledge about the US capital, with the added bonus of a chance to win a spot on an exclusive famil (FAM) trip to Washington, DC in May 2025.
Special Agent Academy offers in-depth destination training
The Washington, DC Special Agent Academy provides travel professionals with essential insights into the city’s vibrant neighbourhoods, iconic landmarks, cultural festivals, and unique attractions. The user-friendly platform features key modules, including:
- Mission Information – Essential details about Washington, DC.
- Mission 3M’s – A deep dive into the city’s famous monuments, memorials, and museums.
- Mission There’s Only 1 DC – What sets Washington, DC apart from other destinations.
Participants who complete the program will be recognised as certified Washington, DC Special Agents, gaining exclusive access to Destination DC’s Tourism, Sports, and Visitor Experience team for ongoing support and resources.
Exclusive incentive for certified agents
Travel professionals from Australia and New Zealand who complete the Special Agent Academy by 14 April 2025 will be entered into a draw to win a place on the Washington, DC FAM trip. The prize includes:
- Round-trip airfare from Australia or New Zealand to Washington, DC
- Accommodation in Washington, DC
- Guided experiences showcasing the city’s top attractions
Strengthening industry expertise

How to participate
Australian and New Zealand travel professionals can register for the Washington, DC Special Agent Academy and complete the program by 14 April 2025 to be eligible for the FAM trip incentive.
