Emirates is set to enhance its Melbourne-Dubai route with a third daily non-stop service starting 30 March 2025. This new offering will feature the airline’s newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER, showcasing Emirates’ latest Premium Economy and Business class products.
Upgraded aircraft and expanded capacity
The new service will operate as flights EK404/405, departing Dubai at 21:15 and arriving in Melbourne at 17:40 the following day. The return flight leaves Melbourne at 23:55, reaching Dubai at 07:00 the next day.This addition means all Melbourne services will now offer Emirates’ latest generation products, including:
- 8 First Class Suites
- 40 Business Class seats
- 24 Premium Economy seats
- 256 Economy Class seats
Enhanced travel options and connectivity
The third daily flight provides travellers with more convenient schedules and improved connectivity to 27 European cities via Dubai. It also increases Emirates’ Premium Economy seat offerings across Melbourne and Sydney to 3,472 weekly.
Emirates has also reinstated its second daily Perth service from 1 December, offering nearly 12,000 weekly seats to and from the city. The airline now operates 77 weekly services to five Australian gateways: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.

Emirates’ investment in Australia extends beyond flight operations, including:
