Emirates Skywards has expanded its loyalty program beyond air travel with the launch of Skywards Rail, allowing members to redeem Miles for train travel to more than 12,000 destinations across Europe.
The new booking platform gives the airline’s 39 million members access to domestic, international and high-speed rail services operated by more than 40 rail companies across 12 European countries.
Miles can now be redeemed for rail travel
Available through the dedicated Skywards Rail website, the platform enables members to search schedules, select ticket types and pay using Skywards Miles or a combination of Cash + Miles. Tickets can also be booked for family and friends, with e-tickets delivered directly via email.
The network includes major operators such as Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF, Trenitalia, Renfe and ÖBB, as well as UK rail services including Heathrow Express, Gatwick Express and ScotRail.
Loyalty program broadens travel options
The expansion is designed to provide members with more flexibility when travelling through Europe, allowing seamless rail connections following Emirates and flydubai flights or for standalone rail journeys.
Example redemption options include Heathrow Express from 4,700 Skywards Miles, Berlin to Frankfurt from 4,100 Miles, Barcelona to Madrid from 5,400 Miles, Rome to Milan from 8,100 Miles and London to Paris from 9,400 Miles.
