Emirates has revealed its first Airbus A350-900 at an exclusive event in Dubai, showcasing state-of-the-art interiors, advanced technologies, and its commitment to sustainable fleet expansion.
This marks a significant milestone for the airline as it adds a new aircraft type to its fleet for the first time since 2008.
A Celebration of Aviation Excellence
The unveiling event was hosted by Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, and attended by key figures, including UAE Minister of Economy His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, aviation leaders, and media representatives. Guests had the opportunity to explore the A350’s innovative interiors, which feature updated designs across three cabin classes:
- Business Class: 32 lie-flat seats with wireless charging, 4K entertainment screens, and enhanced privacy.
- Premium Economy: 21 spacious leather seats with generous legroom and amenities designed for comfort.
- Economy Class: 259 seats with adjustable six-way headrests and improved ergonomics for long-haul travel.
Expanding Horizons with A350
The Airbus A350 will support Emirates’ global expansion by enabling access to mid-sized airports and extending its range capabilities. Emirates plans to launch its first A350 commercial flight to Edinburgh on 3 January 2025, with additional destinations including Lyon, Colombo, and Ahmedabad scheduled in the months ahead.

Passengers can expect seamless connectivity with high-speed Wi-Fi powered by ViaSat, advanced inflight entertainment systems with 4K displays, and an intuitive design catering to accessibility needs. The cabin interiors also feature customisable lighting, larger storage spaces, and quieter cabins for an elevated travel experience.
