Expedia Group B2B has launched a beta version of its Rapid Activities API, which lets selected partners add attractions, tours, museums and experiences to their own booking platforms. The company is also trialling curated Tiqets activities on its Expedia TAAP travel agent platform with a small group of UK agencies.
Both developments extend the company’s B2B offering beyond accommodation and draw on Tiqets, which Expedia Group acquired on 18 February 2026.
Activities API reaches beta
Rapid API is the technology Expedia Group B2B uses to supply accommodation, car hire and other product directly into partners’ own websites, apps and booking tools. An API, or application programming interface, lets one system connect to another and pull through content and bookings.
The Activities API allows selected partners to build their own shopping and booking experiences for activities, using Expedia Group inventory. Tiqets content on attractions and museums is part of that inventory. General availability is planned for early 2027, and a waiting list is open for partners interested in access.
Expedia Group B2B Vice President Stephen Cheng cited company research, Full Trip Planning, which found 77 per cent of travellers want to book their travel on one platform.
Beta partner Global Hotel Card CEO Peter Friend said the order in which travellers book trips was changing.
“Booking the activity is increasingly becoming the starting point, and then travellers book the flight and hotel around them,” Friend said.
Tiqets content trialled on Expedia TAAP
Expedia TAAP, the company’s Travel Agent Affiliate Program, lets agencies and advisors search and book flights, hotels, packages, car hire and activities, with commission, agency rates, booking tools, payment options and trip management.
During the beta, selected UK agencies can access curated Tiqets activities through a simplified search and booking path. Expedia Group B2B said the curated activities are designed to help agents find relevant experiences more quickly.
The release does not give a timeline for making the Tiqets content available to Expedia TAAP agencies in other markets, including Australia.
Tiqets expands attractions supply
Tiqets operates in more than 60 countries and 1,000 cities in 17 languages. Since the acquisition it has sat within Expedia Group’s B2B division.
For agencies and technology partners, the move reflects growing supplier focus on activities as a way to increase revenue per booking.
