Australasia’s leading adventure and eco-tourism operator, Experience Co (EXP), has reported its strongest trading volumes since 2019, buoyed by a sharp rebound in international tourism and steady domestic demand.
The group recorded $134.3 million in revenue for FY25, up from $127.0 million the previous year, alongside an uplift in underlying EBITDA to $19.3 million (FY24: $14.4 million).
In a notable milestone, the company has declared its first fully franked dividend since FY18—at 0.25 cents—reflecting renewed financial health and investor confidence.
Growth through innovation and recovery
Despite weather disruptions along Australia’s east coast in late FY25, underlying demand remained robust, with CEO John O’Sullivan pointing to the “enduring appeal” of the group’s premium adventure and eco-tourism experiences.
With positive trading conditions forecast across Australia and New Zealand, Experience Co expects the recovery to continue as structural travel trends rebound. Key drivers include renewed international interest, strong domestic bookings and improving consumer sentiment off the back of interest rate cuts.
Strategic expansion driving momentum
Throughout FY25, Experience Co pursued targeted growth initiatives across its diverse portfolio. Highlights included the introduction of Aquarius II—a 26-metre premium vessel expanding marine operations in Cairns—and the full-year operation of Treetops Adventure Canberra, with further expansion underway.
The group also increased capacity at Skydive Wanaka by 30 per cent and continued development of the proposed Gardens of Stone walk in partnership with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
Brand visibility was bolstered through high-profile collaborations, such as Wild Bush Luxury’s partnership with chef James Viles at the Taste of the Top End, and inclusion in Tourism Australia’s Come Say G’day global campaign via flagship products like Dreamtime Dive and Bamurru Plains.
Positioned for long-term sector growth
Operating across more than 30 destinations in Australia and New Zealand, Experience Co offers a suite of signature experiences from skydiving and wilderness walks to reef snorkelling and rainforest tours. The group’s FY25 performance and forward momentum underscore its role as a key player in the region’s tourism recovery and a valuable partner for agents selling high-impact travel.
